Hit the Bumps ▸ Dive into the World of Mogul Skiing
Skiing on a mogul run challenges your technique, coordination, and body control. But once you get the hang of it, you’re in for the ride of your life. Moguls play a key role in freestyle skiing and are increasingly featured in competitions like the Olympics and X Games. As an advanced skier, Mogul Wednesday is the perfect chance to dive into the world of mogul skiing. Even during the lift ride, you get your first exciting theory tips from a pro. On the regular slopes, you warm up and prepare your body with targeted technique exercises before hitting the bumps. Then it’s time to take on the mogul run. Thanks to video technique analysis with your coach, you see exactly what’s working well and where you can fine-tune your skills.

Every four weeks, we gather at Seecamp with a view of the lake, practice variations of the Moon Salutation, and turn inward through meditation.

What is Full Moon Flow?
A yoga class that always takes place on the full moon. Each session is dedicated to the unique energy of the respective moon phase.

Experience an exciting climbing adventure between glacier, mountains, and lake! At Club Kitzsteinhorn, children make their first climbing attempts on a climbing tower with various levels of difficulty. Courage, coordination, and agility are required as they gradually build confidence in their own abilities.

Under the guidance of experienced instructors, participants learn the basics of climbing in a fun and supportive environment. Older children may even take on initial responsibility while belaying, strengthening their sense of teamwork. Most importantly, fun and shared adventure always come first!

As part of the Salzburg provincial project “Peasants' War 1525/1526,” the Kaprun Museum will present the special exhibition “Storm and Retribution” (opening 21 May 2026), focusing on the local events of the uprising and their consequences for rural peasant society.

The VSF Kaprun, together with the Sigmund Thun Gorge and the Kaprun Museum, is delighted to invite you to a lecture by Mag. Dr. Florian Messner, MA (University of Innsbruck) at the Meixnerhaus:
In the Peasants’ War, old and new forms of warfare clashed. The classic knights of the Middle Ages experienced their final heyday before being replaced by mercenaries armed with pikes and firearms.

The lecture will examine the forces involved, tactical developments around 1525, as well as weaponry and equipment from historical and archaeological perspectives. It will be accompanied by hands-on materials: swords, pieces of armor, and forged artifacts bring this episode of history to life.

As soon as the sun goes down in Zell am See-Kaprun, it is far from being dark: from 14 May to 15 October 2026, the "Zeller Seezauber" awaits you every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 9.30 pm - a special kind of water, light, music and laser show. Experience an exciting climbing adventure between glacier, mountains, and lake! At Club Kitzsteinhorn, children make their first climbing attempts on a climbing tower with various levels of difficulty. Courage, coordination, and agility are required as they gradually build confidence in their own abilities.

Under the guidance of experienced instructors, participants learn the basics of climbing in a fun and supportive environment. Older children may even take on initial responsibility while belaying, strengthening their sense of teamwork. Most importantly, fun and shared adventure always come first!

What is Full Moon Flow?

From 4 June to 27 August, 2026, you can take a morning walk through the Sigmund Thun Gorge every Thursday from 8.30 am.

This is crowned with breakfast in the Klammsee Stüberl on the banks of the turquoise Klammsee. Breakfast consists of the finest local ingredients and is served on the sun terrace when the weather is good. The Sigmund Thun Gorge is still rarely visited in the morning hours; Entry is only possible upon prior registration.
Having the impressive natural spectacle all to yourself or sharing it with just a few other early risers is an unforgettable experience.
The Klammsee Stüberl has a sunny terrace and a large children's playground: it is also the starting point for further hikes or you can return to the starting point at the gorge entrance after breakfast.

Experience an exciting climbing adventure between glacier, mountains, and lake! At Club Kitzsteinhorn, children make their first climbing attempts on a climbing tower with various levels of difficulty. Courage, coordination, and agility are required as they gradually build confidence in their own abilities.

Under the guidance of experienced instructors, participants learn the basics of climbing in a fun and supportive environment. Older children may even take on initial responsibility while belaying, strengthening their sense of teamwork. Most importantly, fun and shared adventure always come first!

This is crowned with breakfast in the Klammsee Stüberl on the banks of the turquoise Klammsee. Breakfast consists of the finest local ingredients and is served on the sun terrace when the weather is good. The Sigmund Thun Gorge is still rarely visited in the morning hours; Entry is only possible upon prior registration.
Having the impressive natural spectacle all to yourself or sharing it with just a few other early risers is an unforgettable experience.
The Klammsee Stüberl has a sunny terrace and a large children's playground: it is also the starting point for further hikes or you can return to the starting point at the gorge entrance after breakfast.

As soon as the sun goes down in Zell am See-Kaprun, it is far from being dark: from 14 May to 15 October 2026, the "Zeller Seezauber" awaits you every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 9.30 pm - a special kind of water, light, music and laser show. In September and October the "Zeller Seezauber" starts at 9 pm.

This is crowned with breakfast in the Klammsee Stüberl on the banks of the turquoise Klammsee. Breakfast consists of the finest local ingredients and is served on the sun terrace when the weather is good. The Sigmund Thun Gorge is still rarely visited in the morning hours; Entry is only possible upon prior registration.
Having the impressive natural spectacle all to yourself or sharing it with just a few other early risers is an unforgettable experience.
The Klammsee Stüberl has a sunny terrace and a large children's playground: it is also the starting point for further hikes or you can return to the starting point at the gorge entrance after breakfast.

As soon as the sun goes down in Zell am See-Kaprun, it is far from being dark: from 14 May to 15 October 2026, the "Zeller Seezauber" awaits you every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 9.30 pm - a special kind of water, light, music and laser show. In September and October the "Zeller Seezauber" starts at 9 pm.

In 2026 you can look forward to completely new shows. Let yourself be transported to another world for about 20 minutes at the music pavilion in the Elisabethpark in Zell am See. Admission is free!

The show takes place in almost any weather. Strong winds or thunderstorms prevent a performance, as the high water fountains are blown far away - rain is no problem. If necessary, the show will be cancelled on the spot. In addition to the evening shows, there will be daytime shows with music and water every hour on the hour from 1 pm to 6 pm starting 14 May.

From 4 June to 27 August, 2026, you can take a morning walk through the Sigmund Thun Gorge every Thursday from 8.30 am.

This is crowned with breakfast in the Klammsee Stüberl on the banks of the turquoise Klammsee. Breakfast consists of the finest local ingredients and is served on the sun terrace when the weather is good. The Sigmund Thun Gorge is still rarely visited in the morning hours; Entry is only possible upon prior registration.
Having the impressive natural spectacle all to yourself or sharing it with just a few other early risers is an unforgettable experience.
The Klammsee Stüberl has a sunny terrace and a large children's playground: it is also the starting point for further hikes or you can return to the starting point at the gorge entrance after breakfast.

On 27 and 28 June 2026, endurance athletes and fans of triathlon sports will get their money's worth again. The TriZell, an international triathlon, is entering its 36th round in Zell am See-Kaprun. The Olympic distance consists of a 1.5km swim, 40km bike ride and 10km run. The Sprint distance covers 750 meters swimming, 20 kilometers on bike and 5 kilometers of running.

This year, the start and finish areas are in and around the Thumersbach lido with a view of the center of Zell am See, the Schmittenhöhe and the Kitzsteinhorn.

EVERY MONDAY

From 29 June to 31 August 2026 every Monday a very special, mystical and stunning night-time spectacle brings the Sigmund Thun Gorge to life. Parents and children alike look forward to a romantic, impressive adventure full of atmosphere when starting a guided hiking tour through the gorge on the Mystical Night of Water. Together we listen to the roaring of the water in the canyon, admire the strangely illuminated rocks and hike along the 340 m long wooden construction through the night – what a fantastic experience!
