When you enter Kaprun Castle, it feels as if you are stepping back in time. Centuries-old walls tell stories of knights, counts, and turbulent times. First mentioned in a document from the 13th century, the history of the castle likely goes back even further.

The guided tour of the castle begins at 5:00 PM, accompanied by exciting stories about the history of the building. Afterwards, you can explore the castle grounds, the castle museum, the dungeon, and various photo spots on your own. A particular highlight is the highest point of the keep, from where you can enjoy a unique view over the Zell Basin!

At the end of the tour, you will find yourself at TOP OF SALZBURG – Salzburg’s highest excursion destination at 3,029 meters.

At the end of the tunnel, a panoramic platform awaits you with a spectacular view of Austria's highest peaks, including the Großglockner.
