With the Alm Erlebnis bus from Weisbach bei Lofer you can take the bus up to the Hintersee in Berchtesgaden.

A beautiful drive through the National Park across the border into Germany. The journey to Hintersee takes about 45 minutes.

At the Hintersee you can rent boats and walk around the sea in about 50 minutes. 

It's beautiful there. You can also walk down a bit to the bus station below.

There are several huts to visit along the way for a pleasant break.

Dogs can travel free on the bus, but please be sure to wear a muzzle. Dogs can enjoy a swim in Lake Hintersee.

By car to the Weissbach bei Lofer municipal office, 35 minutes. Parking costs €5 per day, and then the free bus ride up. 

We recommend a 9:58 a.m. bus departure time. So, leave Haus Piesendorf at 9:00 a.m.

Hiking bus to the Weissee glacier

The Weissee Glacier is highly recommended. Children under 12 ride for free with two paying parents.

It's fun to take the lift up to the Rudolfshutte and then walk back to the middle station. Then take the lift down to the valley.

The Weissee Glacier is also easily accessible by public transport. Take the Pinzgau Local Railway to Uttendorf and then the hiking bus line 672 to the valley station.

For safety reasons, children under the age of 4 are not allowed to ride the mountaincarts.

Edelstein Park

At the Edelstein Park in Niedernsill, you will find gold nuggets and 80 different gemstones from around the world at the various stations.

With traditional bowls, children can have fun in and near the emerald green streams.

Parents can watch or join the search. Food and drinks will be provided; you are not allowed to bring your own.

Dogs are not allowed inside.

If you like fishing, this is highly recommended, but it is also fun if you have never done it before. Guidance is available.

A fishing rod can be rented for €5.70 euros and you pay 2 euros for the fishing card for 1 day. Bait you can use from there. You can fish unlimitedly, but you are obliged to keep the fish you catch.

Innergeschloß

A scenic half-hour route with tractor with trailer to a nostalgic village at the foot of the Großvenediger.
Lovefully look around the village and then return on foot. Also good to do with children.
A very nice walk with lots of photo opportunities.

The horse-drawn carriage was replaced a few years ago by the panorama train. It runs every hour in the Gschlößtal from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. to the Venedigerhaus Innergschlöß; it returns every half hour from the Venedigerhaus Innergschlöß to the Matreier Tauernhaus. The single fare for adults is €5.00 to the Außergeschlöß, €7.00 to the Innergschlöß; children up to 12 years of age pay €3.00; the group fare (from 20 people) is €12.00 per person round trip.

At the entrance to the village is Kaprun's Alpine roller coaster with large playground with go-kart park and inflatables.

The length of the course is 1300 meters. Total sailing time from start to finish is about 12 minutes.
